Parents and Friends
Your character is our true wealth
Our real wealth is your character; your love, truth and right conduct permeate the fabric of our school culture and provide its strength and resilience. They guide us to peace.
To do all of the above we need the generosity and belief in us, of the Australian Sathya Sai Organisation, as we cannot fund raise and receive no school fees. The P&F goal is playground equipment costing $12,000, for the primary school children to accompany the new buildings, installed by your labour. Your inspiration inspires us all and your continued love, faith, trust and engagement in the maintenance of grounds, creation of play costumes from almost nothing, reading assistance to our classes, singing guidance, being with us on assemblies and care generally are the source of our strength and action!
EHV Values integration:
how you can assist us. Right Conduct - Freedom of Speech are our values for this next fortnight and we encourage parents, friends and guardians to explore these values with us through your children's eyes and always looking for positive reinforcement of words, thoughts and actions showing respect and responsibility for living the values. Our Friday morning assemblies (9.00 - 9.30) are packed with good examples of how we elicit the values in our curriculum. We would love you to come and join us at this time. We start with silent sitting to encourage concentration and inner & outer peace, the morning prayer of gratitude, notices form staff, our values song and a great start to the day!
School Values Forum - a great success!
With ten years of values-based teaching and learning behind us, the school community quickly adapted to the Federal Governments request that all schools conduct Values Forums before 2008, from the National Values Framework. Designed at P & F meetings, the Forum gave the school community an opportunity to elicit its own values at two meetings and to convert those into actions.
These values and actions have gone directly to the School Board for inclusion in our Strategic Plan and will form the basis of on-going action plans within Parents and Friends meetings over the coming months. Ganeshka Solomon, chairperson, welcomes anyone to come to monthly meetings which are open and free for debate on all school matters, as Parents and Friends work to create an environment of Love in which all of us thrive, eliciting human excellence, the real focus of the school's depth.
