2016 Swimming Carnival

Our annual school Swimming Carnival was held on Thursday 24th November. The weather was beautiful and it was a perfect day for swimming! The 8-13 year old students began their races at 10am with the 100m freestyle race followed by the 50m freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke and butterfly events. The competition was fierce with many students tying for places and keeping our timers on their toes. The final race was the much anticipated house relay, with Truth (Blue) taking the win. The Truth house were also champions overall, in a tight contest with Love.

The 5-7 year old students began their novelty events at 11am with a 25m race. They then played many games including a toy dive and hoop dive, and a noodle event.

Both the junior and senior students were shining brightly all day. They showed many values including determination, perseverance, courage, humility, kindness and good sportsmanship. The students can feel very proud of their positive and enthusiastic performance on the day.

A huge thank you goes out too all the parents who came and supported us on the day. Thanks to those who helped in the pool at the novelties, with the timing, lunch orders, transporting equipment and walking to and from the pool. Without your help these events would not be possible.

We are lucky to have many great swimmers at out school and the competition was exciting! Below are the Age Champions for 2016:
